The Barcelona Chair and Stool. Ludwig Mies Van der Rohe designed the German Pavillion at the 1929 Barcelona World Arts Fair in Spain. The chairs became thrones when the Spanish Royals visited the Pavilion. The Barcelona Chair, sometimes referred to as the Pavilion chair, quickly gained a reputation as a modern classic. Finished in polished solid stainless steel and Italian Leather.
